Australian outdoor-streetwear brand Pyra is on track to deliver 300% growth year on year, since its launch in 2020.

The label, which mixes outdoor functionality with streetwear styling, has already clocked seven figures of revenue in its first year and is set to achieve an additional 300% thanks to the support of international and local retailers including Stylerunner, The Iconic and Culture Kings.

Launched in early 2020 by Sam Moore, the business experienced strong sales throughout the year, with a standout collaboration collection with New Era selling 1200 units in 48 hours.

Speaking on the brand, Moore said that the label's mission is to deliver practical products that have a small impact on the environment.

"My mission with Pyra is to unite the outdoor experience with functional designs that can withstand the elements.

"Our brand mission is to inspire movement in the outdoors.

"We have really found a unique space in the market, combining technical streetwear aesthetics with an outdoor influence.

"We have a focus on designing products that are built for purpose, and have minimal impact on the environment," he said.

The label uses organic cotton throughout its collection and incorporates recycled materials into select parts of its line.

Meanwhile, its packaging is biodegradable and compostable.

To build on its growth even further, the business has recently launched a 'Pyra Outdoor Enthusiasts Club' which aims to build its community through members' personal connections and communities, Moore explains.

"As a member, they are encouraged to create inspiring and inclusive outdoor experiences with their friend groups and the local community.

"In return, we provide them with complimentary Pyra product and samples to trial, each season, and become part of our growing community on Facebook," he said.
