Kmart has welcomed 15 new team members to its operations, following the launch of its first-ever Graduate Program.

As part of the retailer's commitment to grow the team's skills for the future, Kmart launched the program to give graduates first-hand experience in the business, as well as begin their careers.

"Our new graduates have experienced face-to-face and virtual induction sessions where they have had the opportunity to hear from some of our inspirational leaders across Kmart, learn about their respective functions and career journeys, and kickstart their professional development," Kmart said in a statement.

"The Kmart Graduates will now embark on their 18-month program, undertaking various rotations in their respective functions to build skills, knowledge and networks, whilst working on real business initiatives and challenging projects," the business said.

The Graduates have been welcomed into the business as it continues its growth trajectory, opening 75 stores in 2021 alone.
