Swimwear brand Kiargo will capitalise on the arrival of an international luxury cruise liner next week, with an on-board launch of its 2012 resort collection.
The capsule range, designed to meet retailer demand for year-round swimwear options, will be unveiled at a runway show on-board Silversea cruise ship Silver Shadow.
Kiargo designer Jessive Holmes said the range was inspired by luxury travel, with this theme extended throughout its entire marketing campaign.
“We used Silversea, ‘Silver Spirit’ as the background for our Kiargo shoot and we were delighted when we were invited by Silversea to co-host a media launch on onboard a sister ship ‘Silver Shadow’," she said.
"The poolside swimwear parade will include some timeless best sellers and preview our new inspiration. There is a definite nautical feel with sailor stripes and yes, red, white and blue. Another key theme set to hit the deck will combine ocean colours of aqua and sea green.”
Holmes said she drew on her background in lingerie and fabric print development to create a collection for 'real women'.
"Real women are women who may be a perfect size 10 combined with a DD bust, or a size 18 who wants to look fantastic and feel confident in her swimwear.
"The fact that they’re in swimwear doesn’t alter their bodies requirements and desire for the same amout of support and shape that a bra gives."
Kiargo now caters for all bust options from A to E - with select styles available in a G cup - and sizes 8 to 22 depending on style.
All items are produced using chlorine resistant Italian fabric Revolutional, which is combined with compression focused linings to offer additional support.
The Kiargo resort 2012 runway launch will take place on January 20, with a lunch for media and VIP guests to follow.
