Jac + Jack has moved outside of the CBD with the opening of its new Armadale store in Melbourne.
Co-founder Lisa Dempsey said the new site is more reflective of the brand, which has relocated from an existing store in Hawksburn.
“We look forward to welcoming our existing Hawksburn customers who have supported us over the last four years as well as getting to know new customers in Armadale.
"Armadale is our first store outside of the CBD that feels truly reflective of who we are – it’s a reintroduction to Melbourne.
"The area itself is also growing from a fashion perspective, there is a lot of activity and the timing feels right for us amidst all the newness.”
Dion Lee, Camilla & Marc, Ginger & Smart and Thurley are among brands operating in the growing hot spot of Armadale.
“The new space is modern with a lovely expanse of a garden," Dempsey said of the new location.
"It is also larger overall, creating a better customer experience and allowing us to expand, particularly in our menswear offering.”
The interior of the Armadale store is the sixth in the series of Jac+ Jack designs by George Livissianis.
He has also created sites for the brand in Sydney, Melbourne and London.
Speaking at a recent seminar staged by Ragtrader and The Australian Fashion Chamber, co-founder Jacqueline Hunt said retail remains a priority.
"We now have a retail model, so we're about to open our seventh store down in Melbourne [Armadale].
"Our first six years were spent wholesaling.
"Lisa, my business partner and I approached our business in a slow and considered way. We wanted to establish the market in Australia and then eventually open our first store.
"On our own steam, we can open two stores a year. This is what we've done for the last six years."
The brand also recently opened a site at Bondi Beach, Sydney.
