A new online portal, offering Australian brands the opportunity to market product online in a unique format has launched, and is currently on the hunt for fashion brands.

The Oswill portal, developed by franchise industry expert Matthew Holland, caters to Australian consumers and operates as a “one-stop-shop” for shopping, trades and services, while also allowing member businesses to trade under the brand portal as franchisees.

The site currently runs more than 80 online speciality stores including a handful of fashion brands, and offers shipping within one business day on all orders. There's also free shipping for orders over $19, as well as a rewards points program which can be redeemed anywhere on the site, from fashion to trades and services.

According to Holland, it is this integration between shopping, trades and services, which acts as the site's point of difference and the key to its success in a saturated market.

“What we found in the last 18 months is that there are lots of individual sites all doing little bits 'well', but there is no single site I can visit where I can visit all my favourite shops under the 'one roof'. For example, for clothing it would be like having Oxford Street, Westfield Bondi, Chadstone, and Collins Street shops all together and able to buy want I want with one transaction,” he said.

“So right now, while there are many businesses getting online to increase their business turnover, the challenge is that they are doing some things incorrectly which impacts the results massively.”

However, Holland said that while Oswill has the potential to become a leading national franchise operation, due to its inclusion of trades and services in the mix, he is on the hunt for more fashion brands to join the network.

“Oswill is offering new and existing businesses the opportunity to offer trades, services and products under the Oswill brand and through the Oswill portal as franchisees. For instance, a small business owner could franchise his services [or products] in a particular suburb without the hassle of having to set up his own website,” he said.

“However, right now we only have a few name fashion brands on the site, so we are continuing to look for further suppliers/wholesalers or retailers to work with as we want to offer to our customer the most comprehensive clothing ranges in Australia. The value for potential shop keepers and wholesalers alike to display their stock range on the Oswill shopping site is fantastic – simply put – it is like opening another shop in every customers front yard – right across Australia with no costs to wholesalers and only a very small cost to retailers.”
