It was among the biggest fashion distributors in Australia - now after rationalising its brand portfolio, the firm is preparing to tackle the world of e-tail.
Branded fashion house Gazal has launched an online store aimed at the men's category, with a marketing and PR blitz set to commence shortly.
The website www.themensshop.com.au will feature Gazal licensed brands such as Van Heusen and Calvin Klein, as well as Ben Sherman, Edwin, Gant, Herringbone, Geoffery Beene and MJ Bale.
The Sydney-headquartered firm has rationalised its brand portfolio in recent times, selling its Lovable, Davenport, Kissed by Lovable and Trent Nathan labels late last year.
The new venture aims to become Australia's leading online destination for executive men, with an edited offer of business and casual apparel and accessories.
Gazal said it will extend "compelling" prices including year round multi-buy deals and free deliveries and returns Australia-wide.
This week the company will introduce a campaign called 'The Rule Book', which will communicate its take on men's fashion through local celebrities such as Justin Hemmes.
Gazal will also push the venture through styling celebrities in featured brands on the e-commerce site.
Founded in 1958, Gazal today distributes 12 leading brands through independent boutiques, retailers and department stores.
