Westfield will launch a charity pop-up store this month, selling vintage designer pieces to raise funds for children with cerebral palsy.

The Giveability stores, which will open at Westfield Bondi Junction on July 19-24 and Westfield Doncaster on July 19-26, will stock pre-loved fashion garments donated by celebrities and fashion designers for the cause.

A raft of well-known fashion brands and celebrities have already pledged to join the program, including Kylie Minogue, Rose Byrne, Anthony La Paglia, Melissa George, Naomi Watts, Liev Schrieber, Bambi Northwood-Blythe, Erin McNaught, Rachel Taylor, Alex Perry, Fernando Frisoni, Marnie Skillings, Garance Dore, Charlotte Dawson, Samantha Wills, Sass & Bide, Ksubi, Bettina Liano, Wayne Cooper and Cheyenne Tozzi. The shopping centre giant has also recruited Australian actress Miranda Otto as ambassador for the Westfield Giveability program.

The store will trade for two weeks leading into National Cerebral palsy Awareness Week and select designers and celebrities will also work at the store as part of the initiative.

Exclusive pieces will also be sold on online at westfield.com.au, and 100 per cent of the proceeds from all sales will go to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance in NSW and Scope in VIC, which provide vital services to people living with cerebral palsy and their families.

Westfield general manager marketing John Batistich said the Giveability project was an important focus for the company.

“This Giveability program is one of Westfield’s important commitments to raise awareness and help children with disabilities in our local communities,” he said.

“By having Australia’s leading fashion designers and celebrities participating in the Giveability store, we feel it sends a strong message that the fashion community is prepared to mobilize and raise awareness and funds to support an often overlooked cause.”

Otto also commented that she was pleased to see strong support from the fashion community for the cause.

“It's wonderful to see such a variety of entertainment and fashion-based individuals pledging their cherished items for the Westfield Giveability store. I encourage all to dig deep and show their support by purchasing one of these treasures available in centre,” she said.

Australia’s top fashion collectors, celebrities, philanthropists, and designers will convene at Westfield Bondi Junction on Tuesday July 19, and Westfield Doncaster on Tuesday July 26, for the star-studded launch of the Giveability program.
