Fashion chain Cotton On has joined forces with another super-brand for a first-time initiative.

The childrenswear arm of the brand, Cotton On Kids has confirmed it has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products Australia and New Zealand.

The tie-up, on behalf of DC Entertainment, will see the two create the ultimate DC Comics Super Hero range for the year ahead.

The range, set to drop into stores for January 20, 2014, will feature a selection of baby and children’s apparel and accessories sporting DC Comics’ Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman designs.

Commenting on the partnership, Cotton On Kids general manager Natalie Mclean said the collaboration was a meeting of minds.

“We always like to ensure our littlest customers are happy and we hope they have fun and feel like their favourite super heroes in this new range.

“Our team worked hard to ensure the styles were appealing to kids, but also practical for parents, by using durable fabrics and easy-to-wear styles that will withstand the most demanding adventures.

“The characters and themes from DC Comics are beloved by children and adults the world over, so this partnership is really exciting and we’re thrilled to be working with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to put the Cotton On Kids spin on these famous Super Heroes,” said Mclean.

Designs in the DC Comics Super Hero range have been created to suit newborns up to size eight children and include t-shirts, tank tops, bibs, onesies, hoodies, drink bottles and notebooks.

Key styles feature glitter embellishments and pops of neon, with each item designed to be paired with original Cotton On Kids fashion styles.

To celebrate the collaboration, Cotton On Kids and Warner Bros. Consumer Products will also kick off a competition from January 20, 2014, offerimng one child the opportunity to win their Ultimate DC Comics super hero Party.

To enter, shoppers will be asked to snap a picture of their child dressed in an item from the new Cotton On Kids DC Comics range and tag @cottononkids and #superherokidsparty on Facebook or Instagram.

The winner will receive a DC Comics Super Hero party delivered to their door complete with party treats, face painting, games and a guest appearance from a DC Comics character.
