Australian fashion pioneer Carla Zampatti will be honoured in a State Funeral in Sydney at St Mary’s Cathedral on Thursday, 15 April.
Zampatti's family accepted the NSW Government’s offer of a State Funeral, following her death on April 03 at the age of 78.
Zampatti was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 1987 for service to the fashion industry as a designer and manufacturer.

In 1980 Zampatti was Australian Businesswoman of the Year, and in 2008 she was awarded the Australian Fashion Laureate Award, an initiative of the NSW Government and IMG Fashion.
Upon the announcement of her death, the industry and the wider Australian public expressed their condolences and reflected upon memories with Zampatti, a collection of which can be read here.
