Women's activewear label Lorna Jane has launched an interactive social media campaign to raise brand awareness and engage its online fan base.

Hosted on Lorna Jane’s Facebook page, “The Year of You” campaign aims to connect with the individual Facebook profiles of Lorna Jane customers to create an inspirational video experience tailored for them.

By connecting with Facebook, the application accesses user's profiles to customise a video experience for each individual. With this information the application pieces together a video of the customer's 2011 year showing friends, family, travel points and events. Inspirational music plays throughout and the video ends with the user's name and the words: “This is the year of you. Move. Nourish. Believe”.

Lorna Jane founder and creative director Lorna Jane Clarkson said she personally championed this new Facebook initiative to cement the brand’s dedication to its digital marketing and successful social media strategies.

“With the start of a new year comes an opportunity to create a new you and the application is designed to be a fun way to motivate our customers to think about this,” she said.

“The new year is the best time to think about you and what you want from the year ahead, and this video application allows you to enjoy the highlights of your past year and plan for the next.”

The Lorna Jane “The Year of You” campaign will also feature throughout the brand's 115-plus store locations nationwide.
