Australian swimwear brand Bond-Eye has launched its first collaboration collection with Australian model Jessica Gomes.

According to the brand, the eight-piece collection draws inspiration from 80s LA street style and the Byron Bay hippie aesthetic.

The collection features pink and green tie dye styles across both one and two-piece suits.

Bond-Eye CEO Steve Philpott said Gomes was a great match for the brand.

"I’ve watched Jess’s career for many years and have admired her and what she stands from afar.

"The plan was to align the bond-eye brand with someone genuine and real, someone who embodies the DNA of the brand creating something fun and special," he said.

The range is made using Bond-Eye’s eco-friendly tubular crinkle made famous in the 80s.

The material uses environmentally sustainable nylon fibres derived from regenerated raw materials that would ordinarily be disposed of and become landfill.

Additionally, the brand’s factory in Sydney also utilises solar energy to power the tie-dye process and also packages the collection in eco compostable biodegradable bags.

Gomes said she was thrilled to work with the brand.

"Bond-Eye sent me some pieces to try and I fell in love with how beautiful and unique the fabric was straight away.

"I love how it's an unsized fit that caters to so many different body shapes and sizes.

"I also love that the brand is an Australian/Bondi-based brand that embodies the Australian lifestyle, as well as the fact that the pieces are handmade and dyed in Sydney," she said.

Gomes adds Bond-Eye to the range of Aussie brands she has modelled for, which also includes Outland Denim/Spell, Nobody Denim and Bonds.

She has 245,000 followers on Instagram and her nine posts of the Bond-Eye collaboration collection have generated 19,581 likes combined.

Each piece from the Bond-Eye collection comes in one size designed to fit an Australian size six through to 14.

The collection is available now and retails for between $220 and $235.
