Bloomingdales and Nordstrom have added Australian denim label Outland Denim to their brand stable.
Beginning from spring 2020, a selection of key styles from Outland Denim's spring/summer range will be available at both retailers.
Nordstrom will also stock exclusive styles including the Stevie boot-cut jean and the Goldie chambray shorts.
Outland Denim founder and CEO James Bartle said that the brand is thrilled to have the backing of major US retailers.
"We couldn’t do what we do without the likes of Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and their customers.
"We look forward to joining forces to continue the brand’s positive impact in changing the lives of people in vulnerable communities.
"Expanding into the US market has been part of a global expansion strategy for the brand since inception.
"We wanted to ensure we partnered with retailers who understand our business model and brand ethos - and I am thrilled to be able to call Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s an integral part of this journey," he said.
Outland Denim creates its jeans using sustainable processes and employs women who have previously experienced exploitation, training, employing and offering career progression to them, with the aim to eliminate the cycle of poverty.
Outland Denim's styles have previously made headlines when the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle wore the Harriet skinny jean, spurring a 3000% increase in traffic to the brand's website.
The brand has also been sported by the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Sarah Rafferty.
