MELBOURNE: A designer at work in the store window is among the initiatives Levi's will use to stand out from the competition when it opens its Chadstone store.
The new flagship site for the denim retailer is set to open in early November, amidst a raft of additional new store unveilings at Chadstone shopping centre.
Levi's will stage a series of events on weekends throughout November to celebrate the flagship opening, culminating on November 28 with an in store appearance by the winning designer from Project Runway Australia 2009, Anthony Capon.
Promoted as a live window installation, Capon will work for two hours in the front window of the Levi's store, crafting customised denim pieces using the Levi's range. The store will also showcase from November 23 - 28 an additional range of denim pieces created by the designer from its product.
The new Levi's store design has been based on the brand's Times Square store in New York. The Chadstone store will feature product from Levi's international collections that has been previously unavailable in Australia.
The Chadstone store will be the seventh retail site in Australia for the longstanding denim label. Levi's also has a series of outlet stores and Myer concessions throughout the country.
