Canterbury's Warrior contract
NEW ZEALAND: International sportswear brand Canterbury of New Zealand (CNZ) has signed a three-year apparel sponsorship deal with national rugby league side the Vodafone Warriors. The deal, which takes effect from the 2009 season, will see Canterbury provide all on and off the field apparel for the team's NRL campaign.
This includes playing and training gear, protective head gear, casual apparel and baselayer garments.
CNZ New Zealand CEO Hugo Venter said gaining the contract was a fantastic opportunity for the brand.
"Both Canterbury and the Vodafone Warriors are brands with similar ambitions to grow and achieve success in the sporting arena, so this deal is seen by both parties as an ideal partnership."
Canterbury, widely regarded as one of the world's largest rugby suppliers, also boasts contracts across golf, cricket, football and hockey domestic and international sides.
