SYDNEY: Australian designer Cristina Nitopi has revealed plans to present her latest collection at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) in September. It is understood the Sicilian-blooded designer's fashion show will be held on Sunday, September 7 in the Majestic Ballroom of the Westin Times Square Hotel, at the centre of the New York scene.
It is understood Nitopi - who formerly trained in the field of psychology - hopes to break into the US market through her New York showcase.
Featuring both men's and women's ranges, Nitopi's latest ready-to-wear collection represented "glamour, style, and sophistication", featuring premium-quality European fabrications and silk underlinings.
Born in Sydney, Nitopi's designs combine both traditional and modern elements, harking back to her Sicilian roots while embodying a modern aesthetic.
