Hush Puppies is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and as part of the celebration, will tour Australia and give away concert tickets in partnership with radio station, Nova and ticket seller, Ticketek.

The Hush Mystery Music Tour will see the footwear brand travel to major cities around the country to give away shoes, concert tickets and cash.

Hush Puppies brand manager, Charlene Perera, said that the Hush Mystery Music Tour is the biggest campaign the brand has ever run.

“This monster campaign has been in the works for over 12 months – it really is the biggest campaign we have ever run as a brand and we wanted to ensure that it was all encompassing, through a competition and alignment with Ticketek, brand activations, instore messaging and an extensive radio campaign with Nova.

“We wanted to reach as many of our existing customers as we could, while also introducing new people into our fun and happy brand. We are also very much looking forward to our wrap party for later in the year.”

Perera said that the shoe giveaway will help new customers fall in love with the brand, and that hundreds of pairs will be given away.

There is no limit to how many pairs we will give away. It will be hundreds and hundreds! There is one way for people to fall in love with this brand and that is by getting our product on their feet.”

The Nova Casanova's will also be appearing at secret locations around the country, as well as Chadstone and Chatswood shopping centres to promote the brand and the giveaway.

The campaign also plays into the brand revamp Hush Puppies has been investing in for the past three years.

Perera said that the Hush Puppies brand is performing strongly and now is the time to celebrate.

“The last 3 years we have rebuilt this brand starting with the foundations here in Hush Puppies HQ.

“We have been performing strongly over the last 12 months, so after much hard work, this is really our year to celebrate our beloved basset hound and share our fun with our wider Hush Puppies family.

“A campaign this size is a significant investment into the brand and our customers [and] we are confident that this will allow us to communicate out to Australia what a welcoming and fun brand this is.”

The Hush Puppies brand has interacted with pop culture over the past 60 years, with icons like the 'Rat Pack', Pete Townshend, Perry Como and Jimmy Buffett sporting the shoes.

Since its inception in 1958, Hush Puppies has sold 17 million pairs of shoes every year across 165 countries around the world.
