Previous experience in the industry?

I have been with H&M since 1988 where I started as the Country Manager in Sweden. Since then I have been a Country Manager in many countries including Germany, Poland, South Korea, Japan and now Australia.

Day-to-day role?

It really includes a little bit of everything and anything to support an efficient and rapid expansion in Australia.

Most rewarding aspect?

To be able to work together with all our new, young, ambitious and passionate Australian staff members. It’s a fulfilling experience to see our employees grow with the company and create a rewarding career with H&M.

Most challenging aspect?

To try and have enough time for everyone. I like to be able to connect with all of our employees as we are all part of one large H&M family.

An initiative you are most proud of?

Our sustainability initiative including the fact that we are one of the world’s largest users of organic cotton in the world. Cotton is the raw material we use the most and our aim is for all cotton in our range to come from more sustainable sources by 2020.

Biggest change to the industry?

As we are in the forefront of our customers minds we need to make sure we are available to them 24/7 through our social media channels.
