The Cohen Group has ended months of speculation that fast fashion giant Zara will launch into Adelaide this year, confirming it will take up residency at its Burnside Village complex.

The property developer has announced a number of fashion retail openings as part of its its $100 million redevelopment of the shopping centre. A majority of stores are scheduled to open in October, followed by Zara in November.

The Zara site will allegedly be the largest in Australia, spanning 2300 square metres and based on the design of Zara's Fifth Avenue, New York concept.

Sass & Bide, Metalicus, Mimco, Thurley, Oroton, Husk, Saba, Pandora, Karen Millen, FCUK, Diva, Sportscraft Signature, Calibre, Wittner, Charlie Brown and Forever New will also be among a number of high-profile fashion entrants to Burnside.

Zara launched into the Australian market earlier this year, with concept sites in Sydney and Melbourne.
