Australian footwear brand Wittner has launched its new 1912.4 Karat Gold shoe range, as it celebrates 110 years in business.

The range pays homage to Melbourne’s gold rush past, featuring four heels that have been crafted in gold leather.

“Given this is our 110th year anniversary, we thought we’d bring something special to our loyal customers that celebrates both our history as a brand and our connection to Melbourne,” Wittner CEO Catherine Williamson said.

“With a nod to our city’s golden past, these styles have been carefully curated to inspire future looks with key styles from our past combined with two new styles to look ahead.

“Comprising four designs in glossy golden leather, the collection includes golden iterations of two beloved Wittner styles alongside two newly introduced designs, which are sure to inspire an equally dedicated following.

“Wittner’s love affair with Melbourne continues to grow and this collection is really our way of honouring that. It is really a love letter to our home city.”

The new range comes after the brand announced a 50% uplift in conversion online earlier this year, following the replatforming of its new website in March 2020.

Since 1912, Wittner has traded in Melbourne, while launching stores across Australia and New Zealand. In recent years, the company continues to be sustainable throughout its operations, including supply chains.

Wittner’s new 1912.4 Karat Gold collection will be available to pre-order exclusively online.
