Fashion and lifestyle retailer Jeanswest will open its first mega store today in Campbelltown, New South Wales.

International giant H&M has also announced its intention to open in the south western suburb.

Located in shopping plaza Macarthur Square, the Jeanswest mega store spans 515sqm – double the size of its current largest site.

Jeanswest CEO Mark Daynes said that the decision to launch the larger format store is a result of growth in south Sydney.

“We are thrilled to be opening our first mega store in Macarthur Square.

“The growth in the southern corridor of Sydney has been very strong and we see this as an investment in an area that will continue to grow.

“The store will showcase our new design which we’ve opened in a number of locations already this year, to fantastic reviews by our customers both existing and new.

“Unique to the Macarthur store is the sheer size and what it will allow us to do in regards to extended product collections and visual merchandising installations.

“The denim wall is certainly one of the spaces that set it apart.”

Jeanswest is now working with shopping centres in Australia and New Zealand to roll out larger stores aligned with the retailer's new concept.
