Mosaic Brands has this week begun sending more than 100,000 units of clothing to fire affected communities in Australia's eastern states.

The clothing has been donated from all of Mosaic's nine brands – Millers, W Lane, Noni B, Rivers, Katies, Autograph, Rockmans, Crossroads and Beme – and will be distributed by the GIVIT Charity.

Similar to many Australian businesses, Mosaic Brands has felt the impacts of the fires, with 20% of its stores directly impacted by the crisis, which resulted in lower comparable sales for the group over the Christmas shopping season.

Because of this strong connection to the impacted communities, Mosaic Brands CEO Scott Evans said that it was crucial that the business support those that have lost everything.

"Clothing is something that we often take for granted, but for the hundreds of Australians who have lost their homes, clean clothes are a luxury.

"Our team members and stores have strong relationships with their communities – especially in many of the regions affected by the bushfires – and we hope these donations will help those who have suffered loss as they rebuild their lives," he said.
