The Australian Fashion Foundation has selected the country's next rising stars.

Alexander Oscar Kelvy and Grace Butterworth are the recipients of its annual internship program.

The two RMIT graudates were each awarded AUD20,000 and a six month internship in the US or Europe.

Australian Fashion Foundation co-founders Malcolm Carfrae and Julie Anna Quay said they will be given the opportunity to pursue their talent on an international scale.

"The winners, Alexander and Grace distinguished themselves as exceptional creative talent.

"Their submissions displayed originality, innovation and both were engaging presenters."

Judges included designer Dion Lee, creative consultant Nancy Pilcher and consultant Brana Wolf.

The judging and announcement of the winners were held at The Lord Dudley Hotel in Sydney in partnership with The Woolmark Company.

Established in 2009, The Australian Fashion Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation.
