Another UK-based fashion giant has appointed local representation in a bid to grow Australian sales, following the likes of Asos and my-wardrobe.com.

Multi-channel retailer Matches Fashion has appointed NAC Group to drive media activity within Australia.

NAC will work with matchesfashion.com to push all media relations, strategy, specific product requests and interviews for the region.

As part of this, the PR firm will issue weekly press e-blasts for new product arrivals, on sale arrivals and exclusive designer collaborations.

Matches Fashion is the latest etailer to capitalise on booming e-tail spending down under, following Asos and my-wardrobe.com in appointing local representation.

Other international majors such as House of Fraser have also kicked off advertising campaigns in consumer titles to drive local spending.

Matches Fashion offers designer men's and women's wear including brands such as Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs, Sergio Rossi, Theory and Erdem.
