Intimate apparel retailer Honey Birdette is at the centre of a workers' firestorm.

The chain, part of billionaire retailer Brett Blundy's BB Retail Capital, is under investigation by the Young Workers Centre over allegations of staff mistreatment.

Dubbed the 'Not Your Honey' campaign, the initiative claims to work towards improving in-store policies and staff consultation.

Former employee Chanelle Rogers has also launched an online petition calling on Honey Birdette to deal with alleged sexual misconduct.

Rogers claims the chain needs to:

- Stop encouraging the sexual harassment of their staff by customers

- Implement policies and training to deal with harassment and bullying from customers

- End a sexist dress code.

The petition had close to 7,000 signatures at time of press.

Last week, Young Workers Centre also staged protests outside a Melbourne Honey Birdette store.

Honey Birdette has not commented on proceedings.
