eCommerce vendor PrettyLittleThing has been named the fastest growing global consumer brand ranked by search interest.

The fast fashion player operates a localised Australian website, with strong traction in the Australian youth market.

PrettyLittleThing toppled Gucci and Louis Vuitton in a survey tracking search interest from January 2016 to November 2017.

The Aaron Wallis Sales Recruitment report used Google Trends to measure interest.

It found PrettyLittleThing's search interest score topped the growth rankings rising 134% between 2016 and 2017.

This is from 25.0% in 2016 to 58.59% in 2017 for a year on year increase of 33.59 percentage points.

Second fastest growth was achieved by luxury fashion retailer Gucci climbing by 27.15 percentage points and third was luxury fashion retailer Louis Vuitton improving by 18.8 percentage points.

PrettyLittleThing's search interest growth has been fuelled by its concentration on social media, working with a number of high profile influencers and brand ambassadors.

This includes a recent collaboration with Kourtney Kardashian. Combined with its above the line advertising supporting brand awareness amongst the younger generation, the result is that the brand is one of the hottest in the on-line fashion market at present.

CEO Umar Kamani said when combined with above the line advertising, brand awareness among young consumers is growing.

"We work very hard as a team to ensure we deliver what our target demographic aspires to.

"Our youthful management team allows us to deliver this in a competitive manner. It's a family culture at PLT and we feel this is a huge marker for our continued success."
