Australian online fashion retailer The Iconic has announced that it will expand into the world of kidswear, with the launch of The Iconic Kids.

The new branch will feature a curated collection of children's shoes, accessories and apparel from over 70 local and international brands.

These will include Austalian household names Cotton On Kids, Bardot Junior and Bonds, as well as international retailers Adidas, Rock Your Baby and J. Crew.

The Iconic CEO Patrick Schmidt said the company is thrilled about the launch.

“Our customers lead incredibly busy lives and shopping for kidswear in-store on a Saturday is undoubtedly the last thing they want to do with their free time.”

With a child born in Australia almost every two minutes, the local kidswear market is expected to increase by 1.3% per year through 2020-21, reaching a value of over $3.5 billion.

“The Iconic Kids is just another way we’re living up to our promise of creating the most seamless and inspiring shopping experience for our customers.”

Since its launch in Sydney in 2011, The Iconic has grown to include over 700 Australian and international brands and stocks approximately 50, 000 items.
