Tarocash will add a new skinny fit jean in two different washes to its sustainable denim range which launched earlier this year.

The new fit will launch in July in time for SS19.

The current range consists of the regular fit sold in all stores and online, as well as the slim fit stocked in the top 24 stores and online.

Tarocash head of product Victoria Chumbley-Weiss revealed to ragtrader.com.au that the range will also feature a variety of washes across the three different fits from July.

"As a brand we wanted to give the customer inspiration to buy our denim and build a story around our porduct that we believe is a topic that is becoming more and more important in a world of disposable products.

"We felt it would give us an offering that stands apart from our competition and adds a feel good factor about our product and is good for the enviroment.

"The skinny, the slim and the regular in a variety of washes across the fits will go to all stores and online from July onwards."

The denim fabrication is made up of 67% cotton, 31% Repreve recycled polyester made from recycled plastic bottles and 2% spandex.

Chumbley-Weiss said one of the biggest challenges has been educating its retail to team to ensure they are able to relay the right information to customers.

"We needed to ensure that we educated our retail team on the features and benfits of the sustainable denim so they are able to enagage the customer in an informed way.

"To do this we have presented it to them in a couple of our buy days we have and also through our email communications that we call 'Taro times'."

All three fits are priced at $109.99.
