Discount department store Target Australia has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) to unleash a super collaboration.

The tie-up will see a new Supergirl clothing line, exclusive to Target Australia, launched on November 22.

The Supergirl collection, targeted at the 'tweens' market, takes a modern twist on traditional surfwear and will include a selection of beach-inspired singlets, t-shrits and dresses for summer, in bold colours and tie-dye.

The spring/summer 2012 range will also feature an extensive line of sleepwear, comprising tank tops, t-shirts and shorts, which can be mixed and matched. Nightwear and 'onesies' are also available in an assortment of patterns and pastel colours, along with slippers and eye masks to match.

Commenting on the partnership, Warner Bros. Consumer Products Australia managing director Preston Kevin Lewis said he believes the Supergirl brand is perfectly suited for the Australian lifestyle.

“We are thrilled about the partnership between WBCP and Target and excited to bring the Supergirl brand to girls across the country. The Supergirl brand embodies fun, youth, and a healthy and active lifestyle. The range is trendy, yet age appropriate, and offers tweens a fashionable line they will love,” he said.

Target Australia managing director Dene Rogers added that the tie-up marks yet another coup for the Target business.

“We are definitely looking forward to the Supergirl launch. Target is thrilled to be the exclusive stockist of the Supergirl clothing range in Australia,” he said.

“Target aims to provide its young customers with a wide range of up-to-the-minute, yet affordable clothing, and Supergirl aligns perfectly with this mission, giving shoppers more choice.”

To promote the launch of the range, WBCP and Target will also be giving away a vacation package for four people to the Gold Coast. The prize includes flights; two nights at Sea World Resort & Water Park, and VIP Passes to Sea World; Wet’n’Wild Water World; and Warner Bros. Movie World.
