Target Australia has been crowned Australia’s leading discount department store for customer service.
Target claimed the title in the annual Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards 2014, the first time the retailer has taken out the Award.
Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine said the retail category is always anticipated with excitement.
"Without customer satisfaction, there is no retail success.
"2014 was a big year for Target Australia: not only did it collaborate with Italian fashion giant Missoni, it took out its very first Roy Morgan Discount Department Store of the Year title."
Target MD Stuart Machin said the award belonged to the 24,000 Target team members serving customers every day in stores and online.
"Our team is passionate about serving customers and offering a brilliant, personalised shopping experience, and this award is fantastic recognition of that commitment.
"Delivering an outstanding customer experience is a critical part of our plan to transform Target.
"We are proud that our customers have noticed a step change in the last year.
