Target will open two new look stores in Cairns this week.
Cairns Central and Stockland Cairns Shopping Centres will open as part of a steady roll out of new and improved next generation stores.
The move comes after a busy 12 months which has seen Target open eight new stores and undertake eight refurbishments across the country.
Both stores boast a range of new features, all designed to improve the overall shopping experience.
The Cairns Central store includes new features such as; a modern café, digital photo kiosk, in store alteration service, tee shirt printing station, and kids play zone.
Both stores will see the introduction of ‘click and collect’ shopping services and a modern, easy-to-navigate store layout.
Queensland GM Tim Kemp said the stores will streamline shopping for customers in the region.
“We’re excited to bring our new look stores to customers in North Queensland. Cairns is a huge focus for Target and we are proud to be investing so heavily in this thriving area. Shoppers are increasingly time-poor so it’s crucial that we make the shopping experience more seamless and more enjoyable than ever.
“Both of the new stores integrate the best customer service with innovative new digital advancements. For example; customers can shop online and then drop by the store to pick up purchased items with our new click and collect service,” said Kemp.
The new-look stores will both open at 9am – giving residents in Cairns double the chance to partake in Target’s redesigned shopping experience.
To celebrate the opening, Target Cairns Central and Target Stockland Earlville will be giving away $10 target gift cards to the first 100 customers in store on opening day, free balloons and face painting for the kids and coffee for adults.
Dora the Explorer will join the celebrations at Target Cairns from 2pm-5pm and down the road at Target Stockland Earlville, children can meet and greet with La La Loospy from 2pm-5pm.
