Target Australia will open its first next generation store in New South Wales this week.

The opening will follow the release of its collaborative collection with Jean Paul Gaultier on Thursday.

Target ambassador Jessica Mauboy will be on site to open the Chatswood store on March 11.

The new store features include:

·         StyleMe Shoppers who are trained by styling experts to help customers shop the latest trends

·         An in-store café for customers to enjoy a meal or snack in the convenience of the Target store

·         A Click n Collect service that allows shoppers to select products online, and then simply pick up their shopping orders in store

·         A T-shirt printing station where customers can come in with their own designs or images and create their own fashion

·         An on-site clothing alteration service

·         A digital photo kiosk for quick printing

·         A designated kids play zone has been introduced to keep the whole family entertained during their trip to Target

·         A parent’s room to make sure that the entire family can shop in comfort

·         State-of-the-art fitting rooms

Target MD Stuart Machin said this is a big move for the retailer.

"We’ve rolled these new look stores out in other states so I’m excited to open Sydney’s first next generation store.

"At Target, we’re continually looking for new and innovative ways to enhance the shopping experience and to make the Target shopping experience a more comfortable and enjoyable one for our customers."

Target will offer $10 gift cards to the first 200 customers, as well as free fashion workshops and styling sessions with celebrity stylist Donny Galella.

Complimentary coffee, tea, Lindt and Fabulous Food Company sampling will also be offered on the day, while free face painting and balloon giveaways will run until Sunday.

Appearances from television characters Paw Paw Patrol and Transformers are also scheduled throughout the weekend.
