Aje has collaborated with global crystal brand Swarovski for its resort 17/18 collection, 'Awelye'.
The two brands first met in Paris in the Spring of 2016, during a shoot by local influencer Margaret Zhang.
The shoot, which incorporated styles from both brands, has now blown out to a fully fledged venture.
Using over 26,000 Swarovski crystals, three pieces from the 'Awelye' collection will make their debut at a runway show tonight.
Inspired by Indigenous artist Minnie Pwerle, the collaboration re-imagines the traditional use of crystals, by creating unique applications inspired by Indigenous body paint designs.
Aje will showcase an intricately embellished gown using scattered black and white Swarovski flatback transfers, placed in such a way to represent the stars in the midnight sky of the Australian outback.
The brand will also show its signature Aje Tee with a Swarovski embellished logo, and a crystallised bandeau.
