Superdry has today unveiled its new activewear range, Superdry Sport.

Superdry Sport spans three key sport disciplines, Run, Train and Flex, offering differing performance abilities for the selected discipline.

The brand's revamped athleisure offering comes as the category is set to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.6% to reach US$549.41 billion by 2028, data from Grand View Research indicates.

Capitalising on this growth trend, Superdry's new range also launches as Aussies emerge from lockdowns, ready to embrace the reopening of gyms and other sport facilities.

The brand's Run range is designed for high-impact fitness, such as gym, cross-fit and running exercises.

The technical line incorporates stretchable and compression fabrics that improve performance and recovery.

Meanwhile, the Flex range is for toning fitness, such as yoga, Pilates, martial arts and dance.

This category offers lightweight and seamless sportswear, designed to enable complete flexibility and free-flowing movement.

Finally, the Train range goes beyond the requirements for general sport activities.

Designed for anything from a gentle run to a gym class, the fabrics are designed with qualities that adapt to the demands of any sport.

Superdry ANZ head of marketing and PR, Matthew Iozzi said the business is already planning to expand the collection.

"Superdry Sport, where style meets an active inspiration, is designed to complement, and enhance an active lifestyle.

"We are incredibly excited to see where this category will go in coming seasons and plan on expanding our range offering in AW22 and beyond," he said.

To celebrate the launch, Superdry will unveil a global first performance concept installation at Myer Melbourne which will open to the general public in line with eased COVID restrictions across retail.

The collection debuted in Myer’s Movement category and will hit stores across Australia and New Zealand this week.

The range is available to purchase now on the Superdry website.
