Quality Marine Clothing (QMC) has expanded again, acquiring online retail store Ross & Whitcroft.

Ross & Whitcroft (R&W) began life on the Gold Coast back in 2014 as an avenue to offer Marinepool the marine clothing brand from Germany.

Stocking various brands and related products, R&W attracts thousands of consumers from the marine industry.

QMC sales and marketing director Duncon Curnow said it was a natural target for acquisition.

"With the increase in enquires on the QMC front, we had many that were wanting one unit of this or two units of that, which was not our business model but of course we wanted to retain these clients.

"The purchase of R&W was a good fit as we continue to be able to service these clients, have pricing to enable direct purchasing of much of the same products we offer on a multi-unit uniform front."

The site stocks all the main brands from Musto, Helly Hansen, Gill, Henri Lloyd to Ronstan, Harken and Kroten shoes.

Curnow is supported by long term business partner and colleague Tony Liddy.

Curnow and Liddy are also the exclusive importers for the marine brands Sail Racing from Sweden (official clothing partner to Emirates Team New Zealand) as well as SLAM from Italy.

R&W is now stocking these exclusive products for sale as individual units.

The R&W website has been completely re-vamped since QMC’s take over in mid-September.
