Vicinity Centres and ISPT today launched their $55 million redevelopment of Halls Head Central Shopping Centre in Western Australia’s Peel region.

Vicinity Centres has a development pipeline of $3 billion.

The redevelopment of Halls Head Central is positioned to take advantage of the trade area’s population growth, which is forecast to increase by 30,000 residents across the next eight years.

It will also aim to capitalise on the thousands of day trippers and tourists that visit the Peel region each year.

Seventy-five kilometres south of Perth, the Halls Head Central redevelopment is opening on schedule, ahead of budget and 100 per cent leased.

The centre, which has tripled in size, now boasts a brand new Kmart, 55 specialty stores, a transformed Coles and a casual dining precinct with a dedicated alfresco space.

It will also be home to one of Western Australia’s first Aldi supermarkets, opening in the centre in June.
