Danish jewellery brand Pandora has appointed Mikael Kruse Jensen to the role of managing director of Australia and New Zealand.

Jensen will replace Brian Winther who has taken on the role of Pandora British Isles MD.

Jensen was previously Pandora APAC VP of finance and has held various senior roles at the company during his seven year tenure at the business.

Pandora APAC president Kenneth Madsen believes both Winther's move and Jensen's appointment will strengthen the company's executive team.

“Brien has done an outstanding job in significantly developing our business in Australia and New Zealand and we congratulate him on the appointment.

“We are thrilled he is now in a position to share best practice globally.

“We are delighted to have highly skilled leaders in a global organisation like Pandora; leaders who are mobile and willing to change location and take up new challenges in our growing business, demonstrating the level of talent we have internally.

“We welcome and look forward to using the breadth and depth of Mikael’s international experience in Australia & New Zealand.”

Jensen said his focus will be supporting the management team on a local level.

"I am honoured to be joining the Pandora team in Australia and New Zealand and build on the incredible success the business has achieved.

“We have a very strong management team in Australia and New Zealand and my focus will be to support and empower them to continue to strengthen the brand and put our consumers first.”

Jensen joined Pandora in 2010.
