Australian emerging label TalaMade will make its debut at New York Fashion Week in February.

The Sydney-based, genderless label created by 21-year-old Tala Surace will appear on the Flying Solo ‘Ones to Watch’ Runway on February 8.

TalaMade is among 10 new, independent designers from across the globe who have been chosen to showcase at the show, with TalaMade being the only Australian label on the runway.

Surace said that she is honoured to showcase her work at NYFW.

"This is a dream come true. New York Fashion Week has always been a goal for me.

"For years, I have watched designers showcase their collections and skills on one of the world’s biggest stages and I can’t believe I get the chance to do the same.

"For me, the runway show will focus mostly on the new collection, but weaving in key pieces from the debut range.

"It'll be my chance to show the world what young Australian designers are doing on a global scale," she said.

The new collection, 100.K Zone: Unlimited, features forward-thinking streetwear and compression athleisure in a monochromatic colour palette. It includes seat-belt adorned pants, skirts and dresses for men as well as chest rigs.

The Flying Solo 'Ones to Watch' Runway is an invite-only event attended by industry buyers, celebrities and fashion elite.
