M.J. Bale has headed to Beverly Hills to showcase its suits as part of G'day USA.

Founder Matt Jensen said this marks a first for the 100% Australian-owned menswear brand.

“We’re proud to bring M.J. Bale to the USA for the very first time in our nine-year history.

“M.J. Bale’ suits, what we consider ‘garments of integrity for men of character’, have always been tailored with a soft and lightweight construct to suit the Australian climate and athletic man.

"We think these attributes are like-for-like for the American market, and we’re excited to gauge the locals' reaction.”

M.J. Bale operates over 50 stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.

As part of its G'day USA initiative, it will open a pop-up store throughout the month of January.

M.J. Bale has debuted a capsule collection of its ‘Kingston’ Merino wool suiting range at Westfield Century City in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

The collection is composed of Australian Merino wool sourced entirely from Kingston, a fourth-generation family-run farm and conservationist enterprise in the Tasmanian Midlands.

Kingston uses ethical on-farm strategies to produce an award-winning fibre from non-mulesed sheep.

The wool is then woven into Super 150s worsted suiting fabric by centuries-old weaver Vitale Barberis Canonico in Biella, Italy.

It moves to Japan's northern Iwate Prefecture, where it is hand-constructed into suits by tailors in M.J. Bale’s atelier.

M.J. Bale returns a percentage from every ‘Kingston’ suit sale to the farm to be reinvested into the ancient natural habitat, home to threatened and near-threatened flora and fauna.

In addition to showcasing ‘Kingston’ suits, M.J. Bale will also present a capsule collection of overcoats, business and casual shirts, ties, chinos and accessories.
