International luxury brand Louis Vuitton will bring its travelling exhibition to Sydney, in its fifth stop since its worldwide inauguration in Wuhan in 2020.
Titled ‘SEE LV’, the exhibition will pop up in First Fleet Park adjacent Circular Quay Station from November 4 to December 11, 2022.
Mixing archival objects from the Maison’s heritage collection with recent creations, SEE LV shares deep insights from the world of Louis Vuitton through interactive digital experiences.
The exhibition comprises six sections, starting with a portrait of young Louis Vuitton, conceived by artist Refik Anadol using artificial intelligence.
One section features a reverse-chronology selection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear pieces, with a 19th century archival gown standing alongside a historical 1906 trunk.
There is also a dedicated corner showcasing Louis Vuitton statement bags, accompanied by imagery of celebrity clients such as Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Connelly, Kendall Jenner and Hugh Jackman.
An additional room is allocated to Louis Vuitton’s major contributions to the invention of luggage typologies, ranging from its Wardrobe trunk to the Skateboard trunk; 1920s Auto trunks to 2020s Louis Vuitton 2054 raincoat-tent.
Meanwhile, a library space will house catalogues of over 100 titles and a gift shop will offer a selection of merchandise.
The tour ends in an interactive space showcasing the Maison’s emblematic monogram design.
The exhibition will open every day from 10am to 10pm.
