Jeanswest is calling on design students for its Australian cotton menswear range.

Entries have opened for another round of its popular Black Canvas competition.

The competition allows local designers to submit a design to be printed onto a tee.

One of four in the collection will launch into stores in November.

The design brief for the last round is: "What does Australia/New Zealand mean to you?"

In addition to seeing their winning design produced in home grown cotton and on sale, the four winning creatives will each have their name, bio and social media handles printed on an individual swing ticket.

Each winner will also receive $750 to go towards their folio.

Jeanswest menswear product manager Simon Quinn said the retailer is commited to supporting local designers.

“It’s a great initiative that gives students a chance to engage with the industry, and it’s exciting to see the creativity that comes through from our up and coming designers who will contribute to shaping the future of Australian fashion.”

Jeanswest is also working with Cotton Australia on a womenswear range to launch in summer.

The competition is now open with entries accepted via Jeanswest’s website at www.jeanswest.com.au until June 23.
