Jeanswest has revealed a new collaboration with Cotton Australia with the brand announcing its new women's fashion collection will launch with products made of 100% Australian cotton.

The new collection will retail from $59.99 and serves as the brand's first ever Australian Cotton knitwear range. The range of products includes knitwear, woven shirts and drop shoulders as the headliners of the collection.

The collection will be available in Jeanswest stores across Australia and New Zealand will also be sold through the brand's online platform.

In a statement, the brand said that its decision to partner with Cotton Australia was part of its larger commitment to traceability and local sourcing for products after it had previously published all of its tier one factory partners in March.

Jeanswest general manger of product Lisa Hunter said the company looked forward to continuing the partnership in the future as it continued to commit to local sourcing.

“Working with Cotton Australia to deliver another beautiful Australian Cotton story for our customers is part of an important journey for Jeanswest, and we're excited for what's ahead.

“The soft hand feel and high quality of the product was immediately apparent to all of us working with the Australian cotton fabrics in developing this range.”

Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay said the collaboration would allow Australian farmers to develop new partnerships while delivering high-quality product.

“Our farmers are so proud to be working with Jeanswest and our female growers are especially excited to see the new range.

“We will continue to work with our farmers to deliver the highest quality cotton, grown with exceptional care for the natural environment and our people.”
