What do Mon Purse, Stylerunner and Her Fashion Box have in common?

The founder of each disruptive start-up will take part in a power panel discussion at Ragtrader Live 2016.

This is the last day to claim early bird tickets. Get them here.

All three women identified, established and capitalised on key market trends before the rest.

Here is a teaser of their progressive strategies.

1. Julie Stevanja

Stylerunner founder Julie Stevanja took out the 2016 World Retail Entrepreneur of the Year Award, joining Australian powerbroker Solomon Lew at the Dubai ceremony.

"I didn't have any prior retail experience before co-founding Stylerunner," she told Ragtrader.

"After identifying the gap in the market for beautifully curated activewear, Stylerunner was launched just three months later.

"Prior to Stylerunner, I worked for a tech startup company in London and before that I worked in banking."

The activewear etailer is know for its inclusive internal culture, including weekly, monthly and end of year prize pools such as a $2500 travel voucher.

2. Lana Hopkins

Mon Purse founder Lana Hopkins secured $3.1 million in a series A capital raise this month, attracting Catch of the Day Group founders Gabby and Hezi Leibovich to the brand.

Working with in-house developers, Mon Purse created the 3D Bag Builder, a proprietary built front-end (HTML/JavaScript) implementing a vision of an intuitive way for customers to design their very own handbag.

“Mon Purse is a remarkable ‘millennial’ concept as it is fashion, tech and also experiential,” Gabby Leibovich said.

"For me, ideas that engage consumers and at the same time provide a valuable service, are worth investing in.”

As part of its international expansion, Mon Purse is set to launch into the US market late-2016 with a strategic design collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar USA executive editor Laura Brown.

3. Kath Purkis

Her Fashion Box founder Kath Purkis is a serial tech and fashion entrepreneur.

Starting her first company Le Black Book at just 21-years-old, Purkis launched her next and latest start-up Her Fashion Box six years later.

Purkis recently scored $200,000 in investment from Boost Juice founder Janine Allis and Morgan & Banks co-founder Andrew Banks in exchange for 16% equity.

"Subscription commerce was in its infancy stages here in Australia when we launched so we’ve custom built the best processes and back-end experience for a subscription business to be scalable," Purkis said.

"Under our R&D grant we’ve been able to build out a whole new side of the business where we are rolling out into other verticals with partners this year – we’ve got a bucket load planned for 2016."
