Her father is one of Australia’s best known architects, John Daubney, and her mother is a former world renowned fashion buyer.

Now Melissa Macdonald is getting in on the family's creative legacy.

The marketing guru has launched Gemma Stone, an affordable luxury jewellery brand.

Macdonald uses semi-precious stones, pearls and diamonds to create designs inspired by fine art and travel.

“I have tried to create a collection of pieces that will never go out of style, jewels that every woman must have in her jewellery box, think of it as the 'jewellery staples'," she said.

"I have selected a gorgeous mix of deep blues and greens with my London blue topaz and amethysts, morganite and rose gold, both black and white diamonds and of course white south sea and Tahitian pearls to round out the collection. Classic pieces with modern design that take you from poolside to party, I’ve aptly named it The Classic Collection.”

The ‘Trilogie’ earring is the stand-out piece, transforming into three different looks: a simple stud or clip ons converting it into work and evening wear styles.
