Harris Scarfe has continued its Queensland expansion with a homewares-first strategy, opening the biggest Home store in the Harris Scarfe network at Burleigh Heads.

The store features a new design developed since its acquisition by Spotlight Group in 2020.

Located in Stockland Burleigh Heads Shopping Centre, Harris Scarfe Home includes mock room displays to help customers shop by each room in their home, an in-store kitchen for cooking demonstrations, a “great wall of frypans” and expanded categories including Home Decor, Coffee and Living Room.

Harris Scarfe ambassadors Shaynna Blaze and Giaan Rooney officially opened the 2,000m2 site on Thursday.

Blaze has designed an exclusive homewares collection for Harris Scarfe, while Rooney has designed a a range of activewear and athleisure exclusively for the brand.

Tomorrow, celebrity chef and Harris Scarfe exclusive designer Miguel Maestre will continue the opening festivities, holding a cooking demo and talking through his Smith + Nobel by Miguel Maestre range.

Harris Scarfe Chief Executive Officer Graham Dean said the new store paves the way for anticipated expansion in the region.

“We’re thrilled to be catering to customers in Burleigh Heads and the wider Gold Coast market with our extensive range of great quality products at affordable prices,” he said.

“Following on from the successful Maroochydore launch in February we’re looking forward to what’s next for the Queensland market.

“Our Burleigh Heads Home store will be the first and largest of its kind in our network and we’re looking forward to offering our customers an enhanced in-store experience with a larger range of the brands, excellent prices and superior customer service customers rely on Harris Scarfe for.”

Harris Scarfe is one of Australia’s longest trading retailers, founded over 170 years ago in Adelaide.
