Gap Australia is opening new stores - ragtrader.com.au reveals when and where.
OrotonGroup has confirmed three new Gap sites following its acquisition of the franchise late last year.
The new locations will include the redeveloped Macquarie Centre, which is set to open on October 16.
A further two Gap stores will open later in the year; at Westfield Miranda in November and Westfield Parramatta in December.
The Parramatta store will mark the biggest Gap store of the three.
The next Gap store will also hold an anchoring position within the Macquarie Centre development.
OrotonGroup CEO and managing director Mark Newman said the new locations served a strategic purpose.
"This first new store at the all new Macquarie Centre will allow our customers in the northern suburbs to shop this iconic global brand closer to home.
"It will be the first NSW store to carry our Gap Fit range in addition to our adults, kids and baby ranges."
The store roll-out plan is part of a wider strategy to grow the brand in Australia, Newman said.
"OrotonGroup took over the existing three Gap stores from the previous franchise partner in November last year and have since made huge progress in delivering a world class customer experience for our Gap fans here in Australia.
"Our strategy to reduce prices, flow season relevant product into the stores and investment in staff has proved successful, and we will continue to improve upon that with each new opening."
Gap first launched in Australia in 2010 and presently has three stores located in Melbourne Central, Chadstone Shopping Centre and Westfield Sydney City.
