Global restructuring firm Gordon Brothers has acquired the global Orsay brand, archives, and related trademarks and other intellectual property from Orsay GmbH.

The firm has partnered with Scayle to continue its growth in addition to maintaining Orsay's existing franchisees.

Gordon Brothers president Tobia Nanda said the acquisition allows the Orsay brand to develop new apparel, footwear and accessories - and continue to be available around the globe and for customers in Australia, where it has a dedicated following.

“We have been following the Orsay story for years and have always been impressed with the brand’s powerful connection with consumers. 

"The Orsay brand has succeeded across regions, countries and distribution channels, and we are excited to partner with Scayle for its next chapter of growth.”

Scayle co-CEO Tarek Muller welcomed the partnership.

“Throughout this process, Gordon Brothers has shown an enthusiasm for the Orsay brand, flexibility and readiness to ensure its continued presence in the European market.

Gordon Brothers has been actively investing in brands since 2003, partnering with companies to help revive and reimagine brands such as Laura Ashley (pictured) and Nicole Miller.
