1. Post, and post frequently

The average fashion follower opens Instagram 32 times a day, according to data analysis. While Chen said post frequency is dependant on brand requirements, some labels can post up to 10 times a day. 

2. Post original content

Think that look book collateral is a good bet? Think again. Chen recommends exclusive, behind-the-scenes imagery for maximum cut-through. Remember, consumers can already access your campaign creatives on alternative platforms. Instagram-only content drives brand intimacy and engagement.

3. Respond

The first, but not only, tip to woo the new Instagram algorithm? Engagement. The more a brand engages with its followers, the more likely those followers are to see the brand on their feed. Instagram users only see 30% of what they subscribe to. Responding to comments and interacting with followers increases your chances of screen time.
