This retailer plunged into administration in its 80th year of business - now it's planning a comeback.

Bevilles Jewellers will mark its eighth decade in business with a series of promotions across all stores.

The family-owned retailer restructured after falling into the hands of administrators in April.

Four store launches are planned before the end of the year.

Bevilles will also introduce a number of exclusive product ranges and the relaunch of its Eternity Club.

As part of the restructure, Bevilles is rolling out smaller, jewellery-only formats across its network.

The retailer currently operates 16 sites across three states.

Bevilles Jewellers first opened its doors in 1934 in Bourke Street Mall.

It began as a homewares store before adding jewellery and diamonds to the range in the 1950s.

Since then, three generations of the Beville family have helmed the business.

Bevilles' birthday celebrations will officially launch this week.

The celebrations include $80 gift vouchers for customers; birthday deals and prices; social media competitions and; birthday cake.

Bevilles Jewellers CEO Michelle Beville said the aim is to make customers feel part of the family.

“Our customers are part of our extended family and we are so grateful for the support Bevilles Jewellers has received over the last 80 years.

"Without their loyalty there is no way we could be where we are today.

“We want to give something back and celebrate this exciting milestone with everyone."
