Paul Cherny has been appointed as Bendon CEO, departing womenswear brand Camilla after a three year tenure.

Cherny will join Bendon in early July as part of an executive reshuffle.

Current chief Justin Davis-Rice will assume the role of executive chairman.

Bendon non-executive chairman Bill Wavish will become a non-executive director.

Davis-Rice said he will work in close partnership with Cherny to shape the future of the intimate apparel group.

"Over the past two years, we have taken a number of steps to strengthen Bendon’s industry leadership resulting in tremendous progress in penetrating key markets, growing our global presence, and innovating in new product categories."

He praised his leadership strategy at Camilla.

"Under his  three year leadership, the brand - which shares a very similar retail and wholesale go-to-market model as Bendon - quadrupled turnover, implemented a premium retail strategy, and significantly expanded its domestic and international distribution channels," Davis-Rice said.

Prior to Camilla, Paul was managing director of wholesale fashion and lifestyle company Shine Group and a leading executive and shareholder in the IPO of IT company Volante Ltd.

Bendon Group operates a number of intimate apparel brands including Bendon, Pleasure State, Heidi Klum Intimates, Davenport, Fayreform and Davenport.
