Womenswear brand Camilla and Marc has announced it has reached a three-year cumulative $1 million target to raise funds for ovarian cancer research.

In 2020, the brand launched its first campaign “Ovaries. Talk About Them”, designed to break down the stigma associated with ovarian cancer and raise funds to develop an early detection test.

The campaign includes the sale of limited-edition stock, with 100% of sales donated directly to the cause.

UNSW Ovarian Cancer Research Centre and Associate Professor Caroline Ford are the beneficiaries of the funding, which aims to further develop an early detection test for ovarian cancer.

"Every single dollar our community has helped raise has been sent directly to the lab to support the salaries of two key scientists and a full-time nurse required to progress this vital research," Camilla & Marc announced.

Additional funds will also be used towards essential infrastructure and equipment.
